Purina Pro Club member Moe Miyagawa of San Jacinto, Calif., recently received the Purina Pro Plan Champions Cup for earning the most points at three Purina-sponsored American Kennel Club dog shows earlier this year.

Miyagawa, a professional handler and owner of Ramona Barding Kennel, won the Pro Plan Champions Cup with CH Marienburg's Repo Man ("RP"), a Doberman pinscher. Miyagawa achieved more points than any other handler by winning Best in Show at Colorado Kennel Club show. The other tow events in the series were the Philadelphia Kennel Club and the International Kennel Club of Chicago dog shows.

RP, a 3-year-old pinscher, is co-owned by Roy and Jo-Ann Kusumoto of San Diego and Mary M. Rodgers. Breeders are Rodgers and Sandra Hunter. RP, who is fed a mixture of Purina Pro Plan brand Performance and Beef and Rice formulas, currently ranks as the No. 2 Doberman pinscher, the No. 3 working dog and the No. 9 all-breed dog.

Purina Pro Plan brand dog food sponsored the Champions Cup to support the dog fancy and to promote excellence in the sport of purebred dogs. Sponsorship included televised coverage of the tree dog shows on the ESPN sports cable channel.
